Starting the Journey
Design an app for homemade pickles (achaar) business, namely Pickle app. The app will allow users to browse through a catalogue of pickles and order them for delivery along with using an array of other intuitive features.
The Core Issue
The huge customer base of pickles, primarily including working women and bachelors, is largely untouched with limited options to buy good pickles online.
- The available options have limited usability and obsolete design
- The customers do not have much variety of products available
- The alternatives have complex user flows and limited payment and login options

Innovative Approach
The app will connect the users to delicious homemade pickles in a modern and user-friendly manner. Using the tried and tested app design best practices, the learning curve of the app will be short
Besides a diverse catalogue of products, the users will also have access to a custom order option to get the pickle they want.
Insights Uncovered
The research was conducted via Google Forms across a wide demographic with questions regarding their age, gender, profession, buying habits, and app design preferences.

User Flow
To design a user flow for an app, I followed a user-centered design approach, mapped out the steps a user would take to complete a task, and iterated through different options to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience

Sketches
To make sketches for an app, I began by conducting research on the target audience and app requirements, and then sketched out different design options on paper to quickly iterate and evaluate feasibility before moving onto more refined digital design tools.

Wireframes
When designing wireframes for an app, I carefully considered the needs and preferences of the target audience, created simple and easy-to-navigate layouts.

Visual Design
To achieve a modern and visually appealing UI, I used a minimalist design approach with clean lines and bold typography. I also utilized a color scheme that was both aesthetically pleasing and easy on the eyes.

The app uses a tried and tested catalogue and ordering system to ease the users’ experience, especially for the ones who are not very tech-savvy.

The app used modern design aesthetics and best practices to ensure that the users can get used to it quickly.

Seamless card-based interface is maintained on all pages with useful options such as favourites, order history, save payment methods, and feedback page.
